If Branch Tool

Use the If Branch tool to introduce IF and IF NOT statements into your campaign logic.

It is commonly used when configuring Tracks, so if a specified statement is true then recipients will be directed along one path, and if it is not true then the recipient will be directed on another.

The tool can also be used in conjunction with Variables to specify what treatments a particular recipient will receive based on a defined set of criteria.

Procedure

1. Drag the tool to the Workspace.
2. Define the following elements:
   • Configure the filter that will constitute the statement
   • An action to take if the statement is true
   • An action to take if the statement is not true

3. Configure the filter by dragging it from the Data Explorer, or by selecting from the Create new drop-down to engineer a filter.
4. Specify the actions to take: actions can be just about anything available in the system, for example the application of particular tactics using the Implement Tactic tool, or the use of variables using the Set Variable tool.
